DIVISIONS OF EXHIBITS: There will be four divisions based on age.

Cloverbud - ages 5-7*
|

Junior- ages 8-10
|

Intermediate ages 11-13

Senior - ages 14-18

* Cloverbud entries are for exhibit and comment only. They will not be considered for competition. However, special recognition will be given to all Cloverbud exhibitors.
RULES & REGULATIONS:
4-H Club-Wide Exhibits
1. Must be designed as educational displays and will be displayed and judged separately from the 4-H Individual exhibits booth. The Fair Authority is allowing 4-H clubs to enter these displays free of charge. Exhibits must be free standing and must not exceed 9 feet in width and 8 feet deep (front to back).
4-H Individual Exhibits
1. ANY PUTNAM COUNTY 4-H MEMBER may enter exhibits. 4-H Membership is required. Member does not have to be present to enter exhibits.
2. Exhibitors may not dictate the class or lot desired to the entering official. The entering officials will make these decisions.
3. All exhibits must have been made by the exhibitor since the 2009 Putnam County Fair and must be clean and in good condition.
4. Each exhibit must be labeled with claim check provided by the 4-H volunteer when entered. Please keep your copy of the claim check and present it when you claim your exhibit.
5. All articles must be picked up by 5:00 P.M., Sunday, March 28, 2010
6. The Putnam County Fair Authority will take every reasonable precaution for the safeguard of the exhibits; however, since articles are entered in competition for prizes, the owner assumes all responsibility for any accident, loss, or damage.
7. Cloverbud Judging
Cloverbud entries are not judged for competition. The judges will examine the entries and provide comments on the entries for the youths benefit. All Cloverbud entries will receive a specially designed rosette.
Junior, Intermediate and Senior Judging
All exhibits will receive a Blue, Red or White award ribbon plus premium money as listed below. A First and Second Place winner will be picked in each LOT. In addition, a First and Second Place overall winner in each CLASS will be awarded a rosette. Best of Class winners will also be awarded additional cash prize. Premiums will be awarded according to the judges' records only.
8. Premiums will be paid as listed below under awards. See below Class information.
9. No winner will be allowed more than ONE (1) monetary premium in connection with the same article / item.
10. ALL PREMIUMS WILL BE PAID IN CASH WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR EXHIBIT ON SUNDAY, MARCH 28, 2010. NO PREMIUMS WILL BE PAID WITHOUT CORRECT INFORMATION ON REGISTRATION FORMS AND ALL REQUIREMENTS FOLLOWED.
11. Exhibitors will be limited to seven (7) articles. Each article must be a different lot (i.e., a studded T-shirt and a painted T-shirt, but not 2 painted T-shirts).
12. All Home Arts and Crafts will be judged according to beauty and originality of design; harmony of color and materials; suitability of articles to purpose; and workmanship.
13. Educational Displays (displayed in 4-H booth - Class VII) must fall within the following maximum size criteria: Linear width 36 inches depth 15 inches height 48 inches.
14. Perishable food items will not be displayed for the whole week and will not be returned.
15. All items must remain on display through the duration of the Fair. Articles will be released Sunday, March 28, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
16. Judging will use the Modified Danish System
