DIVISIONS OF SHOW:

The show will have three (3) divisions.

YOUTH DIVISION:

 Exhibitors 17 years of age and younger.

ADULT DIVISION:

 Exhibitors 18 years of age and older.

EXCEPTIONALLY CHALLENGED: 

All ages



YOUTH DIVISIONS OF ART:

Ages seven (7) and under – Wee Ones

All Art

Ages eight (8) to ten (10) – Mid-Aged Youth

All Art

Ages eleven (11) to thirteen (13) – Intermediate

All Art

Ages fourteen (14) to fifteen (15) – Adolescents

All Art

Ages sixteen (16) to seventeen (17) – Senior Youth

All Art



ADULT DIVISIONS OF ART:

Paintings - Three (3) Categories - Water Color; Oils; Acrylics

Graphics – One (1) Category (drawing, printing, etc.)

Photography – One (1) Category(NO PROFESSIONALS)

Sculptures – One (1) Category - (wood, stone, metals, etc.)

Other 3-D including Mix Media – One (1) Category



EXCEPTIONALLY CHALLENGED:                  All Art Work



RULES & REGULATIONS FOR ART SHOW:

1.       Art MUST be the original work of the Exhibitor and not previously shown at the Putnam County Fair.  Art should be suitably framed with suitable hooks and wire ready for hanging.

2.       Matted only (without frame) pictures should have a protective clear covering and hanging device attached.

3.       Exhibitors must live in Putnam County or live within a 10-mile radius of the county line.

4.       Claim check(s) will be issued when Art is entered and MUST be presented before it is released.

5.       Limit to three (3) items per person, per category.  Only one award will be awarded to an exhibitor for any one piece, except best of show.

6.       Exhibitor must securely attach to the back of the of the entry a typewritten or legibly written form stating their name, address, telephone number, title and medium to be judged.  Also age of youth artist. All exhibits are for competition and are not for sale by the exhibitor during the fair.

7.       The Fair Authority will take every reasonable precaution for the safeguard all exhibits.  The Fair Authority is not liable for any loss or damaged property.  Entries may not be removed until Sunday, March 28, 2010 after 2 p.m.

8.       No winner will be allowed more than one (1) monetary premium in connection with the same article / item, except Best of Show.

9.       All Premium money will be paid in cash and may be picked up when the exhibitor brings in their claim check on Sunday, March 28, 2010, from the Putnam County Fair Office.

10.    The art show committee reserves the right to add or delete categories as deemed necessary without prier notice.
