DIVISIONS OF SHOW:
YOUTH DIVISION: Exhibitors age 17 and younger.
a. Youth Division (Y)
ADULT DIVISION: Shall be for exhibitors age 18 and older.
a. Amateur (AA)
b. Professional (AP) – Nursery operators, landscaper, landscape maintenance operators, horticulture instructors and consultants.
YOUTH DIVISION
SECTION 1: Plants in Bloom, to include African violets, Begonias, Orchids, etc.
SECTION 2: Foliage plants
ADULT DIVISION
SECTION 1: Plants in Bloom, to include African violets, Begonias, Orchids, etc.
SECTION 2: Foliage Plants
SECTION 3: Cacti and Succulents
SECTION 4: Dish Gardens, Terrariums, and Bonsai
SECTION 5: Hanging Baskets, blooming
SECTION 6: Hanging Baskets, foliage
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1. Entries MUST be labeled and attached with name, address, and phone number.
2. Claim check will be issued when specimen(s) are entered and MUST be presented before it is released.
3. Plants must be properly labeled with common name and botanical name if known.
4. The Exhibitor must have grown all plants for at least three (3) months.
5. All specimens must be clean, free of insects and disease and be well groomed.
6. Plants should be watered prior to bringing to the show. They will be well taken care of during fair week.
7. Containers must be clean and neat in appearance and shall not exceed five (5) gallon size. No cans or broken containers will be accepted.
8. Exhibitors will be limited to five (5) entries, with no two of the same plant variety.
9. All entries in the show will be judged on the Danish System. Each plant is judged on its own merit against a set standard. They will not be judged in comparison to others in the class.
10. All entries will be under the control of the Fair Authority and may not be removed until Sunday, March 28, 2010. All possible protection will be given exhibits, but the Fair Authority is not liable for damage or loss of property. For more information call (386) 328-FAIR (3247).
11. All Premium money will be paid in cash and may be picked up when the exhibitor brings in their claim check on Sunday, March 28, 2010.
12. No premiums will be paid without correct information on the registration forms and all requirements followed.
