ELIGIBILITY:

Must be a resident of Putnam County



ENTRIES:

An entry is considered to be whatever one exhibition cage will hold. A rabbit cannot be entered in both divisions.

LIMITATIONS:

Any one exhibitor may enter up to five (5) entries. 

This number is subject to change without prior notice.

NO PREGNANT RABBITS MAY BE ENTERED

NOTE:  This is not a sanctioned show.

RULES & REGULATIONS:

1.             The exhibitor must own all animals at least 30 days prior to the fair.

2.              Rabbits must be 3 months or older.

3.              Exhibitor may enter five (5) entries.  This number is subject to change without prior notice.

4.              No sick or diseased animals will be allowed in the show area.  The livestock committee reserves the right to refuse the entry of any rabbit which appears to shows signs of disease, sickness, infested with mites, lice or fleas, or which is not of credible show quality..

5.              The Livestock Committee will provide individual entry exhibit signs.  No other exhibit signs will be displayed unless approved by the Livestock Committee.

6.              The Putnam County Fair Authority will provide feed, water, and cages for the Open and Youth Rabbit Show during the week of the fair.  An attendant will feed and water the entries during this week.

7.              Exhibitors will be exhibiting their own rabbit and will do so at their own risk.  NO LOCKS ON CAGES BY EXHIBITORS ARE ALLOWED.  The Putnam County Fair Authority, Inc. will not be responsible for loss by accident, fire, theft or providential destruction.

8.              The Modified Danish System of judging will be used.  Judging will be on Saturday, March 27, 2010.  Youth exhibitors must present their rabbit to the judge, for judging.  Exceptions should be prearranged with the livestock committee.

9.              YOUTH SHOWMANSHIP & GROOMING divisions are  Junior 6-10, Intermediate 11-13, and Senior 14- 18.  Proper show attire should be worn, (Dark or Black pants, button front, long sleeved, collared white shirt.  Official 4-H/FFA jackets may be worn. Showmanship will be immediately following youth rabbit judging.

10.           The decision of the Judge is final.

11.           Entries must be on official entry forms.  Forms are available from the Putnam County Fair Office or the website, www.putnamfairandexpo.com and maybe picked up prior to March 5, 2010, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Forms MUST be returned to the Putnam County Fair Office or the Agricultural Center by March 5, 2010, by 5:00 p.m.

12.           OPEN SHOW – anyone nineteen (19) years and older, interested in exhibiting rabbits and are residents of Putnam County.  Exhibitors are not required to be present for the show.

13.           YOUTH SHOW – anyone six (6) – eighteen (18) years old, interested in exhibiting rabbits and are residents of Putnam County.  Exhibitors should be present for the show. Exceptions should be prearranged with the livestock committee.

14.           PEE WEE SHOW – anyone five (5) and under, interested in exhibiting rabbits and are residents of Putnam County. Exhibitors are not required to be present for the show.

15.           No premium money will be paid without having all of the correct information on their registration form and all requirements meet.

16.           No passes will be given to exhibitors.

17.           Rabbits can be removed after Awards Ceremony on March 27, 2010.  Any rabbit removed from the show prior to this time without consent of the Livestock Committee Co-Chairs, will forfeit all awards.

18.           Exhibitors MUST make their own arrangements for delivery and pick up of all animals.  Putnam County Fair Authority, Inc. will not be responsible for any exhibit left after the date and time set for pick-up.  NO EXCEPTIONS…

19.           Awards and premium money will be paid on March 27, 2010, at Awards Ceremony.
