Livestock Awards Banquet & Volunteer Appreciation

Monday, June 3, 2024 @ 6pm
Join us for a catered dinner while we recognize our volunteers and present the Livestock Awards for Herdsman, Skill-A-Thon, Record Books and Overall Heifer, Swine & Projects and entries will collect their Sale Checks.
Volunteers will receive an invitation in the mail.

Skill-a-thon March 2, 2024

The Skill-A-Thon is MANDATORY for all Large Livestock exhibitors (Swine, Steer & Heifers). If you are showing both swine & beef, you are required to attend and participate in BOTH skill-a-thons. There is a $100.00 fine for any exhibitor that does not attend the appropriate skill-a-thon.

Skill-a-thon location: Ag Center Auditorium

Times by age division are as follows:

10:00 am - Junior Swine Exhibitors

10:45 am - Junior Beef Exhibitors

11:30 am - Intermediate Beef Exhibitors

12:30 pm - Intermediate Swine Exhibitors

1:30 pm - Senior Swine Exhibitors

2:15pm- Senior Beef Exhibitors

times are tentative subject to change depending on # of exhibitors and age divisions

Large Livestock Exhibitor Mandatory Meetings

MANDATORY MEETINGS!
located on the fairgrounds in the Expo Hall

JUNIOR Meeting Monday January 15th, 6pm
INTERMEDIATE Meeting Tuesday January 23rd, 6pm
SENIOR Meeting Thursday February 1st, 6pm


If you are an exhibitor of a swine, steer or beef heifer at the Putnam County Fair you must attend one of these meetings, to be eligible to show your animal at the fair.

Mandatory meeting location: Fairgrounds Expo Hall (subject to change per local, state or federal mandates).

** If you cannot attend the meeting for your designated age group, you MUST contact Heather Pogue (386-329-0318) and she will discuss options and the possibility of attending another meeting**

*Ages below are as of Sept. 1, 2023

JUNIOR MEETING - ages 8-10, Mon., Jan. 15, 2024 @ 6 pm

INTERMEDIATE MEETING - ages 11-13, Tue., Jan. 23, 2024 @ 6 pm

SENIOR MEETING - ages 14 and over, Thu., Feb. 1, 2024 @ 6 pm

All Cattle and Swine Must be treated for LICE 10 days prior to Fair Arrival Date!
